Taylor Swift Draws 24.3 Million Viewers to Sunday’s Chiefs-Bears Game
Speculations of Taylor Swift’s presence at Sunday’s Chiefs-Bears game, coupled with her appearance during the 41-10 blowout, turned the contest into the week’s most-watched telecast across all networks. This information comes directly from Fox Sports’ communication and public relations teams.
Furthermore, the game secured the top spot in viewership for various demographics, including females aged 12-17, 18-34, 18-49, and overall audiences aged 2 and above, according to a tweet from the network.
Even though Sunday’s game between the reigning Super Bowl champions and the underperforming Bears hardly proved to be competitive, fans tuned in eagerly to see if Taylor Swift would accept the invitation from her rumored beau, Travis Kelce, to attend Arrowhead Stadium.
Following Sunday’s event, “America’s Game of the Week” emerged as the most-watched telecast on any network for the entire week.
In addition to this achievement, Week 3’s national NFL broadcast on FOX also took the top spot in viewership for female demographics aged 12-17, 18-34, 18-49, and the overall female audience aged 2 and above this week.
Kelce, a dedicated Chiefs fan and player, had previously challenged Swift to attend the game, saying, “I threw the ball in her court. I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one is a little more lit,” during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” leading up to the game.
True to her word, Swift attended the game and quickly became the center of attention for the cameras. She was spotted sitting alongside Kelce’s mother, Donna, in a suite and appeared to thoroughly enjoy watching Kelce’s team dominate their less formidable opponents.
